30.03.2011. The Head of our state at the joint session of both chambers of Oliy Mazhlis of our country has declared that with a view of maintenance of the further development of institutes of a civil society, strengthening of their role in maintenance of a transparency and efficiency of reforms, nowadays is necessary the adoption of law «About social partnership», providing accurate differentiation of borders and perfection of organizational-legal mechanisms of interactions of the noncommercial non-governmental organizations with the state structures in realization of programs of social and economic development, the decision of humanitarian problems, protection of the rights, freedom and interests of various levels of population of republic.
The question is very actual right now, in realities of new time when the majority of the enterprises left governmental sector. Nowadays our branch trade union directs its activity on strengthening of social protection of workers, following principles of social partnership with employers, achieving the conclusion of branch and collective agreements.

23.03.2011. At council of Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic Uzbekistan, devoted to results of social and economical development of our country in 2010 and to the major priorities for 2011, the head of our state has given the special attention to a question of employment of graduates of professional colleges.
The trade unions which are considered as the largest public organization, have defined the major questions following from the report of the President at this session.

23.03.2011. The regional seminar on a theme «Trade unions in Republic Uzbekistan and human rights» has taken place in the city of Fergana under the joint decision of the Federation Council of trade unions of Uzbekistan and the national Center of Republic Uzbekistan under human rights.
The special attention at a seminar has been given studying of reports of President Islam Karimov at joint session of Legislative chamber and the Senate of Oliy Mazhlis of the Republic Uzbekistan «The Concept of the further deepening of democratic reforms and formation of a civil society in the country».

22.03.2011. On February, 14th, 2011 in the Educational center of the Federation Council of trade unions of Uzbekistan the first session of the Commission on work with women of the Federation Council has taken place. Chairmens of the territorial commissions of associations on work with women, main boards of branch trade unions, the primary organizations have taken part in it.
Session was conducted by the vice-chairman of Federation Council Elbek Mirdjuraev.
The main attention was given to maintenance of protection of their social and economic interests, increasing of legal culture, creation of conditions for active participation in the reforms occurring in a society, activization of spiritually-educational and sports work among women.
Chairman of the Council of Federation of trade unions of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva has taken part in session. She has especially stopped on the questions facing the commissions on work with women.

9.03.2011 The regional seminar on a theme "Trade unions in Republic Uzbekistan and human rights» has taken place in Fergana under the joint decision of the Council of Federation of trade unions of Uzbekistan and the National Center of Republic Uzbekistan under human rights.

09.02.2011. Centre for Public Opinion Studies «Ijtimoiy Fikr» has spent the third (the first — in 2001, the second — in 2004) sociological research on the subjects «Trade unions of Uzbekistan in condition of market relations» by the method of contact interview «Face to face» on basis of the standardized questionnaire.

04.02.2011. On January, 29th, 2011 the III session of the Youth Council of the Federation of trade unions of Uzbekistan has taken place. Representatives of youth boards of branch and territorial trade unions, trade-union leaders became its participants. The vice-chairman of the Council of the Federation of trade unions of Uzbekistan, the chairman of Youth Council — Normamat Allayorov has conducted it.

30.01.2011. On January, 28th, 2011 the II Plenum of the Council of Federation of trade unions of Uzbekistan has taken place. The representatives of some of the ministries and departments, trade-unions organizations, enterprises, public organizations and business subjects have taken part on the Plenum.
